The Team

Ron Garfield

Coaching speaks to me in ways that over 25 years of senior executive experience never did. This work comes from my heart and a connection to myself and others that pulls at me every day. I am fueled by the energy that comes from coaching and the inspiration I get from my clients and being of service to them.

My own journey guided me here. I didn’t choose to coach, coaching chose me. I saw and experienced firsthand the power of transformative change and the impact a willingness to dig deep and get uncomfortable can have on an individual and organization. It’s funny, and maybe counterintuitive to say, but coaching is not for everyone, but for the people and companies that are willing and ready to really do the work, they will understand why this work is so powerful.

I’ve had the opportunity to serve in senior leadership roles for some of the countries most well-respected entertainment companies. Fremantle, Sony Pictures Television, Ovation TV, Hallmark Channel and Fox Broadcasting. As a former C suite executive, I understand firsthand the pressures and challenges that are part of everyday life in the executive sphere. I’ve created and built companies. When I sit with leaders, the coaching work evolves in ways that cuts through the minutia of day to day problem solving. We explore possibility and the obstacles that hinder professional and personal growth, both individually and organizationally.

I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and received my training from the highly regarded Co-Active Training Institute. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) with a PCC accreditation. I am Mental Fitness Coach and PIQue Coaching & Strategy Group is a certified partner of the Predictive Index.

I have spent over twenty-eight years in the fields of education and workforce development helping business leaders solve their workforce issues and overcome challenges in pursuit of success. As a coach, I am passionate about helping leaders create productive, and dynamic teams where engagement is positive and sustaining. I am driven by opportunities to work with leaders to increase workforce diversity and to create inclusive work environments where everyone thrives. I approach every coaching opportunity with sense of curiosity, discovery, and empathy which allows me to deeply listen to the nuances that might be creating barriers to success. Coaching is about conversation and empowering individuals to find their own answers, encouraging and supporting them to build upon their own evolution of innovation and growth.

My formal education includes earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Leadership and Organizational Development as well as a master’s degree in Public Administration. I earned an Executive Certification in diversity and inclusion from Cornell University and received my professional coaching certification through Coach Training Alliance in 2012. It was when I completed my coaching certification that I truly understood my purpose.

What I love about this work is how coaching produces a co-creative environment where opportunities are unearthed in transformative ways. It’s that shift in perspective and those “ah ha” moments that bring about impactful and lasting transformation. Those moments provide clarity of direction as you walk down the pathway of success.

When I first discovered coaching, it was as though the way forward was suddenly clear, and I had found what I was meant to be doing. It is the most natural fit of any personal or professional experience I’ve had so far. A lifetime’s passion of service toward helping leaders reach their greatest dreams is where I draw my energy. I facilitate conditions with clients where profound, genuine transformation and discovery are born.

My specialties include coaching high-achieving professionals — individually and within organizations, brand development coaching, fathers and sons looking to discover their values and purpose, men looking to re-connect to their most authentic selves, keep their relevance and grow their skills in diversity, equity and inclusion.

This is the short story of how I got here, and I’m very curious about you and the story you are writing.

From 1991 onward, I’ve worked in different roles as an employee and an outside vendor working alongside decision-makers and C-suite executives, enhancing my unique skill set and perspective. My professional experience includes a list of individuals, direct mail design companies, ad agencies, boutique design and web development companies, and start-up tech companies utilizing my Communications, Design, and Advertising education.
